Okay, so I hate soup. But I like cho cho in soup.

Cho cho?

What in the hell is Cho Cho???

Well, to those of you who speak “The Queen’s English”, or whatever – Jamaican Cho-Cho is also known as CHAYOTE, or CHAYOTE SQUASH. It is a little green veggie/fruit – Well, it’s like a tomato – in that it’s a fruit not a vegetable,  that is native to Mexico and Central America.Cho-Cho is in the same family as the Squash and the Cucumber! Mainly grown in Brazil, Mexico and Costa Rica.

It has a mild somewhat sweet flavour to it, and can add fiber to your diet. It can contribute to 17% of your overall Vitamin C needs, 1% of Vitamin A needs, contains B complex vitamins, 2% of your calcium iron requirement, along with other minerals such as potassium, magnesium, zinc, and high in many amino acids!
